Condolences may be sent to daughter Marianne King 165 Cranbrooke Dr. Coraopolis PA 15108, mkfitnesspgh@comcast.net Betty grew up in the heart of Cincinnati in Norwood. Her family owned a dairy - Moormeier Dairy. They ran a Dairy Bar. This is where Betty and Pat eventually met. Growing up Betty loved to walk in the woods, play softball and dance. This is why she became a majorette in high school at Withrow High School. That was her love. Betty attended the University of Cincinnati. She joined the Chi Omega Sorority. She received her BA in Education and taught kindergarten for a short time. She always had a passion for learning. Once Betty and Pat married, she became a mother of 3 girls fairly quickly. Each being born 1 ½ years apart. They were blessed with one more girl 8 years after that. Having a child at 40 was not the norm back then. Betty was a dedicated mother and housemaker. Family dinners were a must. Lunches ready for school, homework down, clothes attended too. She always made sure she volunteered at her children’s schools and always had her girls learning. Betty drove hundreds of miles to her children’s activities. She always made sure her children had an appropriate birthday party or celebration. When dad and mom retired, they spent their winters in Venice, Florida. It was well deserved. They loved the beach and were very active in church and social activities. Betty loved to socialize.
Betty always had a silly sense of humor and was a great bargain hunter. Growing up in the depression always kept Betty and Pat judicious with finances. She loved flowers, especially roses and carnations.
Betty battled with dementia the later years in life and passed to our Almighty for age related complications.

Betty & my sister, Marlene (Fessenden) Treat (d. 2009), were good buddies as the grew up even though they lived miles apart. Though I was 14 years younger than my cousin, Betty, I remember trips to the Dairy Bar with the multi-story home behind it. In latter years there were family gatherings in the Moormeier Barn that had been fabulously remodeled for such events. In the years after my parents' decease, Betty & Pat were always most gracious hosts when I came to town by myself to visit, & we always enjoyed visiting them when we came to town as a family. I know that their descendants have many more precious memories to comfort them through this sad parting. Dale & Cherry Fessenden, Conroe Texas
