At Neidhard-Minges we realize that your journey of grief and mourning only begins with the funeral itself. Because of that we offer each family we serve access to bereavement services as part of our comprehensive care.
At the visitation we offer Carenotes and articles for any children or teens affected by the death. We also give their families information about Fernside, a place for grieving children.
Our bereavement care coordinator contacts each of our families six to eight weeks following the death of their loved ones. At that time we offer books, pamphlets and articles on the grieving process with suggestions for finding your way through the myriad of feelings each person may experience.
We try to tailor our information and outreach to meet the specific needs of each person depending on the circumstances of their loss. We have our own support group but we also have information about other groups which might meet your needs as we consider your singular loss.
While talking with you we can determine if a one on one visit with our bereavement specialist would be helpful. We also have a list of psychologists or counselors which, after speaking with you, might be a needed resource.
Support Group
Our support group meets on the first Sunday of the month from 1pm to 3pm. The meetings are held at our Westwood location, 3155 Harrison Ave Cincinnati, Ohio 45211 and are open to anyone who has experienced a death in their lives. No reservations are required. Just come and be ready for loving acceptance from a group of people who understand loss.
If you have any questions call the funeral home at 661-3022.
