Scharfenberger, Doris (nee Borgman), beloved wife for 54 years of the late Herbert W. Scharfenberger. Loving mother of Karen (Dan) Polking and Sharon Scharfenberger (Jim Glaser). Devoted grandmother of Brian (Lauren) Polking, Brandon (Shelly) Polking and Kevin (Sarah) Polking. Great-grandmother of Eleanor and Cameron Polking. Preceded in death by her parents, Frank Borgman and Clara (Waechter) Borgman and 8 brothers and sisters. Doris passed away on Wednesday, May 10, 2023 age 93 years. Doris worked as an activities coordinator for 25 years with Mercy West Park. She was a member of the Red Hat Society. She will be remembered for her easy going personality, colorful wardrobe, funny holiday accessories and love of jewelry, singing, shopping and cats. Visitation Thursday, May 18 from 10am until time of funeral services at 12 Noon at the Neidhard-Minges Funeral Home, 3155 Harrison Ave. (Westwood).
