Hofmann, Robert Lee. Born July 27, 1935, died September 25, 2022 at the age of 87 with his beloved wife Shirley and his 3 devoted daughters by his side. Loving wife Shirley Hofmann(nee Seiler) of 65 years. Loving father of Nancy (Jerry) Janszen, Sue (Marty) Hoffman and Linda (Matt) Otten. Best grandfather of Aaron (Jill), Becca (Steven), Jordan (Quinn), Jake (Becca), Christopher and Alex (Lauren). Great grandfather of McKayla, Madelyn, Henry, Olivia, Ruby, Willow, Leo, and one on the way. Dear brother of Patty (Bob) Harmon and Jim (Peggy) Hofmann and 8 other siblings that have gone before him.
Bob and his 10 brothers and sisters grew up in Mt. Airy. He attended Roger Bacon High School and Xavier University. He married his long time sweetheart, Shirley, and they would have celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary on September 28th. Bob was dedicated to his family, formed a special connection with each grandchild and found joy with his great-grandchildren. Bob formed life-long friendships with many along the way. Bob loved sports. He enjoyed softball, bowling and his absolute favorite sport was golf. He was a member of Miamiview Golf Club from 1983 – 2021 where he served on the Board of Directors for many years and was also past President. Bob and Shirley loved to travel especially to Orange Beach where they enjoyed many fun times with family and friends. Bob lived his life to the fullest and will be greatly missed by all fortunate enough to have known him.
