Daniel N. McElroy beloved husband of Marianne McElroy (nee Davis). Loving father of John (Teri) McElroy, Margie (Doug) Hart, Sheila (the late Mike) Weber, Maribeth (Daniel) Ballard, Dan (Chrissy) McElroy and Mike McElroy. Devoted grandfather of Jonathan and Chelsea McElroy; Ron, Nick and Mike Weber; Danny and Davis Ballard; Joey, Caroline and Nathan McElroy. Dear brother of Virginia Behymer and the late Marian Connolly and Tom and Jim McElroy. Cherished son of the late John and Florence (nee Pohner) McElroy. Dan was a Union Carpenter, Apprentice Instructor and District Council Business Agent for over 40 years and was a Trustee and Financial Secretary for Carpenters Local Union #126. He served as a Building Trades liaison to Hamilton County Commissioners and City of Cincinnati Council. Dan was elected to the Hamilton County Democratic Party Executive Committee and was a member of the Fernald Citizen Advisory Board. Dan enjoyed volunteering his time. He was very active in the Taylor Creek Youth Organization, where he served as past president and soccer tournament chairman and coached for many seasons. He was also a Cub Scout pack master and was a member of the Knights of Columbus. After retirement, Dan volunteered at Hamilton County Parks. Passed away March 9, 2022. Age 81 years.
