Obituary
William A. Rolfes loving son of the late Albert W. Rolfes and Aurelia Rolfes (nee McGowan). Dear father of Kathleen (Elijah) Johnson. Caring brother of Anita (Sam) Boulmetis, Bruce (MaryAnn) Rolfes, Beverly (Butch) Wills, Dale (Marianne) Rolfes, Doug (Jessie) Rolfes, Vicki (Scott) Shaffer, and late brother and sister-in-law Albert (Lisa) Rolfes. Step grandfather to Caleb and Kiana. Step great grandfather to Leila. Uncle to 35 nieces and nephews.
Bill, as family and friends knew him, was our prickly pear: tough and thorny on the outside but soft and sweet on the inside. He loved his family and we loved him, thorns and all. He loved nature, 4-wheeling, traveling and being outdoors.
Bill was born and raised in Cincinnati, OH. He attended La Salle High School. Following graduation, he proudly served in the US Army from 1968-1972. Bill was an amazing Laser Technician. He could fix anything and loved taking stuff apart to see how it worked.
We will miss you brother, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and uncle, may you be at peace with those who went before you.
William passed away Tuesday, February 9, 2021 at the age of 73. With family spread out all over the country, no services are planned at this time. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the American Heart Association, 3816 Paysphere Circle, Chicago, IL 60674
