Obituary for W. Lavelle Shepherd
W. Lavelle Shepherd went to be with her Lord and Savior on December 29, 2020 after a valiant battle with cancer. Lavelle was born September 9, 1933 in Columbia, Kentucky to the late Rollin and Frances (nee McLean) Farris. Wife of 66 years to the late Morris Shepherd. She is survived by her three sons, Greg (Melanie) Shepherd of Cleveland, TN, Timothy (Gina) Shepherd of Cincinnati, OH and Brian Shepherd of Harrison, OH. She will be missed by her four grandchildren, Eric, Emilee, Ryan and Brooke and her nine great-grandchildren. Lavelle is the dear sister of Anita Hancock.
Lavelle was a member of Central Parkway Church of God (Bridge of Hope). She was active in her church and community. She is a graduate of Lindsey Wilson College in Columbia, Kentucky.
Visitation will be at Church on Fire, Harrison (10544 Harrison Ave, Harrison, OH 45030) on Saturday January 2,
from 11 AM until service time at 1 PM. Masks are required due to Covid-19. Private graveside service to follow on Monday, January 4, 2021 at Rest Haven Cemetery.
Lavelle was a member of Central Parkway Church of God (Bridge of Hope). She was active in her church and community. She is a graduate of Lindsey Wilson College in Columbia, Kentucky.
