Devoted husband of Lois Powell (nee Borgman) of 62 years, beloved Father of Mike (Judy) Powell, Mark (Pam) Powell, Doug (Karen) Powell, and Melissa (Mike) Helmes, cherished Grandpa of 10 and Great Grandpa of 8.
Bob passed away on Friday, Nov 14, 2020, one day after his 85th birthday. He was a graduate of Elder High School (’54) and Xavier University (’58). He married Lois Jeanne Borgman on June 14th, 1958 and served our country for 4 years as an Army helicopter pilot. Bob & Lois had four children and were life-long members of St. Aloysius Gonzaga Church in Bridgetown. Bob had a long successful career as the owner of his CPA firm which was located on Glenway Ave and was highly respected for his honesty and integrity by the many people who knew him
Organizations which Bob was involved in over the years include the Cincinnati chapter of the Friendly Sons of St Patrick (longtime board member, treasurer and past president), Harrison Social Flights (treasurer), and Clovernook Country Club (past president).
Bob loved having the family together as it was his highest priority and love. He will always be remembered as a true gentleman, gracious and kind, with a hearty laugh and generous spirit. He will be deeply missed by everyone who knew him.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a funeral service for immediate family only will be held at St. Aloysius Gonzaga Church. A life celebration for all family and friends will be held in the future, though details are undetermined at this point.
