GILL, Eric J. “Rick
Left us too soon on January 20, 2020 at the age of 71.
Beloved partner and soul-mate of Paula; cherished parent and mentor to Missy, Michelle, Abbie, Jeremy, and the late Rachael. Papa to Brooklyn, Angel, Aubrianna, Chris, Austin, Noah, Mikey and Cameron. Papa-Rick to Baby Rachael "Rae". Caring brother to Linda and uncle to Stacy, Hannah and Zach. Best friend and kindred spirit to Jim. Preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Helen.
Rick loved all kinds of music (especially Sinatra, Bocelli and jazz trombone), good steaks and pasta, and his family. His adventures with Jim were legendary. Rick was an ardent supporter of Roger Bacon High School and the University of Cincinnati. He was also an avid reader and political news-junkie whose vast amount of knowledge, intuition and empathy helped him win every case he represented during his stellar career as a prosecuting attorney for the National Labor Relations Board. Proud of his Irish and Romanian heritage, he and Paula did extensive genealogy research and were planning a trip to Ireland.

Family will receive friends Monday from 10:30 am until time of funeral services at 11:30am at the Norwood Christian Church, 4400 Ashland Ave., Norwood. Burial to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Donations if desired may be made to the Roger Bacon High School Band, 4320 Vine Street
