Obituary for Morris D. Shepherd
Morris D. Shepherd on January 18, 2020 after a valiant battle with Alzheimer's, went to be with his Lord. Morris was born May 20, 1932 in Russell Springs, Kentucky to the late Lilburn and Montra (nee Harmon) Shepherd. He is survived by his loving wife, Lavelle (nee Farris) Shepherd, of 66 years, and his three sons, Greg (Melanie) Shepherd of Cleveland, TN, Timothy (Gina) Shepherd of Cincinnati, OH and Brian Shepherd of Harrison, OH. He will be missed by his four grandchildren, Eric, Emilee, Ryan and Brooke and his nine great-grandchildren. Morris is the dear brother of Richard (Earline) Shepherd and the late Edward (Grace) Shepherd. Pall bearers: Sonny Feck, Phil Haas, Steven Schultz, Eric Shepherd, Ryan Shepherd & Tucker Tipton
Morris was a member of Central Parkway Church of God (Bridge of Hope). He was active in his church, community, and the Republican Party. He is a graduate of Lindsey Wilson College in Columbia Kentucky and the University of Cincinnati with a Bachelor of Science degree. His career in Chemistry and Management included working at P&G, Oil Kraft Inc., and Calvary Industries.
Burial with military honors to follow at Rest Haven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Research Foundation.
