Yeesrahelhl, Hehkhahl Y. (Born James L. Huffman, Jr.), age 66, passed unexpectedly Monday evening January 13, 2020. Hehk was an avid sports fan. He enjoyed attending games and keeping statistics for his two favorite teams - the Cincinnati Reds and Bengals. He was a faithful member of the Madeira Baptist Church, which he attended weekly. He also enjoyed watching James Bond, Clint Eastwood and Superhero movies.
In his younger years, Hehk was a Boy Scout, trumpet player, wrestler, and baseball player. He grew up in Vermilion, Ohio and graduated from Westerville High School in 1972. He moved to Cincinnati to attend the University of Cincinnati, where he studied aerospace engineering. He was proud to call Cincinnati his home, where he resided for 40+ more years. Hehk’s family is grateful to the Harmony Court Rehab & Nursing Home team for caring for him until his passing.
Hehk was preceded in death by his loving parents James Sr. and Shirley (Fowler) Huffman. He is survived by his 8 younger siblings, Timothy (Karen) Huffman, Kim (Vicki) Huffman, Richard (Kimberly) Huffman, Cathy (Troy) Werner, Robert (Cindy) Huffman, John (Cindy) Huffman, Gwen (Daniel) Huffman-Schaeffer, Kenneth (Alicia) Huffman, and many nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed.
A graveside memorial service will be held Friday, January 17 at Maple Grove Cemetery in Cleves, Ohio at 1pm. Those wishing to make memorial contributions in his honor are asked to consider Madeira Baptist Church, 7860 Euclid Ave, Cincinnati, OH 45243
