Obituary

William A. (Bill) Milazzo, of Green Twp, passed away Tuesday, July 23, 2019. He was 85.
Preceded in death by parents Frank (“Lefty”) and Ella, son Joey and brother Frank. Survived by Alma (Monica), his loving wife of 64 years; children Tony (Kim), Bill (Diane), Charles (Lisa), Maria (John) Stout and Angelo (Hannah); grandchildren Christian (Cari), Joey, Frankie, Lucia, John, Sofia, Tony, Wyatt, Ella and Josephine; brother Charles (Connie) and many loving family and friends.
Bill was very proud of his South Fairmount roots. He was a first-generation American and proudly served in the US Navy during the Korean War.
After the Navy, he worked as a box office manager for the Reds, Cincinnati Gardens and the Cincinnati Opera.
Bill then spent the next two decades as owner of two Hitching Post restaurants, working alongside his wife and children and making countless lifelong friends.
Bill spent his later career in maintenance at the Resident Home (RHC).
He was a charter member of AMVETS Post 1988 where he held several leadership positions. He was also an active member of the United Italian Society.
Bill was a long-time parishioner at St. Ignatius Parish and also attended Mass regularly at San Antonio Chapel.
He enjoyed golf and card games with friends, shopping for bargains and making people laugh. But his biggest priority was always spending time with his wife, kids and grandkids.
He believed in treating people the way you wanted to be treated, and lived by this motto throughout his life.

My hear breaks for Monie, Tony, Bill, Maria, Charles, Angelo , Charles and Connie and all my cousins and their families. So many memories but I keep thinking of going to the Comet in Northside, listening to music after a family reunion. He was always so kind to me and Rick. I will miss my buddy.
Love all of you,
Kathy
