Obituary for Michael Robert Quintero

Quintero, Michael Robert. Born on March 18, 2007 in Logan, Utah. Beloved son of Mark and Alicia (Martin) Quintero. Dear brother of Alex, Anthony and Myra Quintero. Cherished grandson of Miguel and Deborah Quintero, Melinda and Dan Obray and John and Lynel Martin. Dear nephew of Jennifer Halls, Jason Martin and Annette Snook. Also survived by many loving cousins. Michael was a graduate of C.O. Harrison Elementary School and currently a 6th grader at Rapid Run Middle School. His first love was music and the piano. He loved listening to his iPod and singing Veggietale songs. He also loved the minions from movie Despicable Me. Michael had an army surrounding him called "Michael's Minions" who loved him dearly and would gather at a moments notice. He will be remembered for his smile, contagious laugh, and sweet voice. Michael and his teacher from Children's Hospital wrote a poem entitled "I am full of smiles and music". Nothing can ever describe Michael better than his own words. Michael passed away peacefully on Monday, May 20th at the age of 12 years old. The family would like to thank the amazing staff and doctors at Cincinnati Children's Hospital for the care and love that Michael and our family have received. Visitation will take place on Friday May 24th from 5pm-8pm at the Neidhard-Minges Funeral Home, 3155 Harrison Ave Cincinnati, Ohio 45211 (Westwood). Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, May 25th at 10am at Mt. Healthy Christian Church, 7717 Harrison Ave Cincinnati 45231. Burial to follow at St. Joseph New Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Pray, Hope, Believe Foundation c/o Rick and Lynne Merk P.O. Box 53236 Cincinnati OH 45253 to help further research for Pediatric Brain Cancer.
