I can remember going to visit gramps at Marmers in the Western Hills Shopping Plaza. I loved the playroom for kids. Especially when he would bring us the goodie bags with sweettarts inside!! I loved visiting him at work. I also remember that my first pair of cool gym shoes were Nike Air Pegasus thanks to grandpa!! I became a Nike snob and never wanted to wear any other running shoe! Still my favorites! I remember going to visit and swim at his place in Brookville. The home on Washington Avenue was nice and his basement was cool. I remember having fun at Christmas Eve there. Grandpa Trotta was the sweetest man. He was very quite but always smiled and he would say the funniest things sometimes. I remember him calling people "Pains in the Asses!" but he would say it with emphasis on "Asses" a really funny way. It would crack me up! I remember visiting him in Florida once unexpected; he was so happy. I was maybe 21 and he took me to the Shell Factory. He loved Florida so much, I wish I could have visited him more. He would whistle all of the time also! He was quiet, simple, sweet, loving, caring and I will miss him. As soon as he would see me, he would ask how "Steve" was doing (my son). I am comforted in the thought that he is happy with grandma and Uncle Frank again.
