Condolence: I met Joan over 10+ years ago in January at my first Scarf It Up meeting. I was asked by Joan and Esther to come sit by them. They made me feel welcomed from the beginning. I always looked forward to seeing Joan and Esther's friendly faces every time I went to the Scarf It Up meetings. Joan made beautiful crocheted baby hats for Good Samaritan Hospital. She also had over 1848 volunteer hours which equals about 528 baby hats....that is a lot of baby's heads she kept warm after they were born!! I missed Joan when she was at her daughter's home in SC and missed several meetings. I was truly heartbroken when I heard she fell and soon after passed away. Joan will be missed by all the Scarf It Up ladies and especially ME!! Please know that GOD's arms are wrapped tightly around you, to comfort you and to help you when you are missing Joan. God puts certain people in our lives for a reason... Thank you for letting me be a part of Joan's life. Susan
