Emma Diana Wise (Buell)

Mishawaka-Emma Diana Wise, 107, passed away on Monday, December 4, 2017 at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center in Mishawaka.
Emma was born on February 16, 1910 in Cleves, OH to Albert Edward and Flossie Emma (Flowers) Colegate Sr. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Flossie “Cookie” Wilde; brother-in-law, Robert Wilde; brothers, Albert Colegate Jr. and Elmer Jennison; stepdaughter, Lorraine Martin; niece, Alberta Bolte; a grandchild from the Wise family, Rick Brookbank and stepdaughter, Nadine Brookbank.
On January 30, 1926 in Harrison, OH she married Raymond Buell, he preceded her in death on January 25, 1976. On December 23, 1985 she married, Charles Wise, he also preceded her in death on March 8, 2005.
Surviving are her daughters, Rae D. Leonard of Mishawaka and Gloria I. Martin of Harrison, OH; grandchildren, Maxine (Dan) Weber of Harrison, IN and Robin (Tom) Walter of Harrison, OH; great grandchild, Curtis (Sara) Stokes of Merriville, TN; three great great-grandsons, Tate, David and Colin; and two nephews, Albert Colegate III of Cleves, OH and Ted (Carol) Colegate of Cincinnati, OH her special boys, Jim May and Mike Phelps. Her friend in Florida, Norma Compton, lived with mother and dad and referred to her as “Momma B” and her current care giver, Evelyn Hinton
Emma moved from Ohio to live in Florida from 1960 to 1975, to be with her parents, Al and Flossie, then returned to Ohio until she came to Mishawaka in 2003 to live with her daughter Rae.
She was a lifetime member of Miami Whitewater United Methodist Church, formerly known as Miamitown United Methodist Church.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, December 6 from 4 to 8 in Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th Street, Mishawaka, IN. A visitation will also be Friday, December 8 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Minges Funeral Home, 10385 New Haven Rd, Harrison, OH. Funeral services will be on Saturday, December 9 at 10 a.m., with visitation one hour prior, in Minges Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Miamitown Cemetery, Miamitown, OH.
