How Can I Say Thanks ?

As I turn 30 today, I'm thinking back to a time,
When a small baby boy had no parents to call "mine".
Born to a couple, whom for reasons unclear,
Chose to leave their infant son for others to rear.

This child was almost destined to life without a Dad,
Or someone to call Mom.......could there be anything more sad?
Almost destined to grow up without a family tree,
Without a brother or a sister with whom he could be.

Almost to live a life without aunts or uncles to love,
To sleep inside a crib without smiling faces above.
But in God's sovereign plan this was not allowed to be,
I know, for you see, that child was me.

No, a Cincinnati couple called Pearl and Jim,
Adopted that baby boy and named him Tim.
To these two he has been grateful from the start,
For giving him themselves and a place in their heart.

All My Love, Tim
