Joan Carol Shields, born on October 8, 1946, to Jessie & Ollie Shields, reached her peace on May 8, 2017. Joan was preceded in death by her parents and seven of her eight siblings. Joan had four children, Tonya (Paul) Burns, Christine (Tom) Miller, Scott (Linda) Brumback and Lisa (Jerry) Hurley. In addition, she had 12 grandchildren: Matthew & Lauren; Andrew, Nick & Zach; Kevin, Miranda & Bethany; Joshua, Emily, Molly & Serenity. Joan also had six great grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held at Calvary Baptist Church Chapel, 3711Tibbatts Street, Covington, Kentucky 41015 on Saturday, May 13, 2017 from 12-2:00 pm with a small service at 1:30 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations are accepted for funeral expenses.
