Loving mother of Thomas (Judi) Gibbs, Patty (Nick) Schneider, Judy Gibbs, Susan (Rick) Pope, Janet Gibbs (Bruce Huey), Dennis (Dottie) Gibbs, Ken (Barb) Gibbs, Sharon (Eddie) Hayhow and the late Nancy Gibbs. Also survived by 18 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by one grandchild, Lisa Pope. Dear sister of the late Albert Pope. Sister in law of Faye Pope, Shirley Gibbs and the late Norbert (Betty) Gibbs, Don Gibbs, James (Marcella) Gibbs and Carol Petri. Passed March 20, 2017 Age 91. Member of Purcell Council K of C #2798 Ladies Auxiliary and the GMC Great Lakes Motor Home Club. Longtime member of St. Jude Parish. Betty's favorite memory was of how she met Orville on Long Island Beach. He worked there as a lifeguard and she worked at the concession stand. She flirted with him by serving him free ice cream. Visitation at the Neidhard Minges Funeral Home, 3155 Harrison Ave., Westwood Thursday from 5-7pm. Funeral Mass Friday 10:30am at St. Jude Church, Bridgetown. Burial St. Joseph Old Cemetery.
