Van Driessche, Edward Albert. Beloved husband for 68 years of Loretta (nee Meagher) Van Driessche. Loving father of Mike (Linda) Van Driessche, Dave (Susan) Van Driessche, Ray (Theresa) Van Driessche, Dennis (Judi) Van Driessche, Tim (Vicki) Van Driessche, Jane (Paul) Fahrner, Mary Pat (Jim) Pampu, and Kathleen (Bob) Weise. Cherished grandfather of Kyle, Kim, Sean, Brian, David, Meghan, Kerry, Mitch, Rileigh, Danny, Lily, Erin, Eric, Maddie, and Mack. Great grandfather of Kaiden, Kenzie, Evelyn, Kara, Owen, and Sophie Marie. Dear brother of the late Bill (Agnes) Van Driessche. Edward was a proud veteran of US Navy serving in WWII. He retired from Oldsmobile where he worked for 41 years. In his spare time, he enjoyed singing and playing golf. Edward was a devout Catholic and served as a lector for many years. He was the "greatest Irishman who really wasn't." Passed away on March 3rd at the age of 92. Visitation Thursday from 9AM -10:30AM at the Minges Funeral Home, 10385 New Haven Rd. Funeral Mass to follow at 11AM at St. Aloysius Church, Shandon. Burial with military honors to follow at the church cemetery. Memorials may be made to St. Vincent de Paul Society.
